Radio Communication, Navigation and Approach Aids-
................................ Insert one of the following:
N = If no COM/NAV/Approach aid equipment for the route to be flown is carried, or the equipment in not servicable.
S = If "standard" COM/NAV/Approach aid equipment for the route to be flown is carried and is usable.
.................................. NOTE: "Standard Equipment" is considered to be a combination of VHF RTF, ADF, VOR and ILS unless another combination is prescribed by the appropriate Air Traffic Service facility concerned.
.................................. NOTE: The letter "Z" is used when other unspecified equipment is in use. In such cases, insert additional information in Item 18 (Other Information). Examples: COM/Satellite Communications - or - NAV/VFR GPS
AND / OR - One or more of the following letters to indicate the COM/NAV/Approach aid equipment which is available and usable:
A = LORAN A
B = (Not allocated)
C = LORAN C
D = DME
E = DECCA
F = ADF
G = (Not allocated)
M = OMEGA
0 = VOR
P = DOPPLER
Q = (Not Allocated)
R = RNAV route equipment
T = TACAN
U = UHF RTF
H = HF RTF
I = Inertial Navigation
J = (Not Allocated)
K = (Not Allocated)
L = ILS
V = VHF RTF
W = When prescribed by ATS
X = When prescribed by ATS
Y = When prescribed yb ATS
Z = When prescribed by ATS
SSR (Transponder) EQUIPMENT:
........................... Insert ONE of the following to describe servicable SSR equipment carried:
N = Nil
A = Transponder - Mode A (4 digit - 4096 codes)
C = Transponder - Mode A (4 digit - 4096 codes) AND MODE C (Encoding altimeter).
X = Transponder - Mode S without both aircraft identification and pressure-altitude transmission.
P = Transponder - Mode S, including pressure-altitude transmission, but with no aircraft identification.
I = Transponder - Mode S, including aircraft identification transmission, but no pressure-altitude info.
S = Transponder - Mode S, including both pressure-altitude and aircraft identification information.
